We all have that basic white tee in our closets; however a Not So Basic Tee in black is essential to a stylish closet! That would be the Maya Tee from Oakland based Lacson Ravello.
Not a season goes by that LR creates a piece that wows me. Last Spring it was the Cruz Top (seen here). This season the Maya Tee is checking all the “not so basic tee” boxes.
Made from a blend which includes 66% renewable bamboo, the Maya Tee also cuts a classy yet sexy-demure vibe. The front panel is a sheer dot mesh fabric that is hand sewn to the bodice. The sheer top is a huge trend this Spring – see my previous post. And the geometric cut of the Maya Tee’s sheer panel gives a shout out to Art Deco design that I can’t get enough of.
It’s not every day that you find a Tee shirt that can be dressed up or down. In this look I went for casual French Riviera, pairing with a wide leg pant from Zara. (Similar below)
French girl chic details include a beret and classic ballet flats from J Crew. And of course no Riviera look is complete without a handbag in a natural material. This Cult Gaia Ark bag is on serious repeat this Spring.
