I love a good look that is borrowed from the boys. In today’s post I’m sharing an easy look inspired by menswear basics for her from two of my favorite brands, Everlane and J.Crew.
And in keeping with the theme, some of these pieces are mine, and others are actually …his!
When styling a menswear for her look I always opt for the clean lines of a wide legged trouser. Think Katharine Hepburn.
Any pair that has a flat front will slim and lengthen the line, such as the Wideleg Structure Pant from Everlane. (On Sale)
No menswear basics for her look is complete without a button down shirt. Here I snuck away from the basic white shirt and instead opted for a khaki version from J.Crew.
I originally bought this shirt for my husband, But like all gifts that you buy for others but want for yourself, it eventually founds it’s way into my closet. At least for now.
Now, you could stop there or take it a step further by popping on this collegiate style cashmere sweater from Everlane.
To tie the look together I snagged this vintage Wallace & Barnes bandana from the J Crew men’s section (while my husband was shopping the New Balance Collection) and tied it boy scout style.
Last but not least, the modern patent leather loafer in Maple from Everlane (shop here) completes the look.
XoXo,
Kairee Tann
Key Pieces Featured: the trench, the pointy toe flat, the button down.
