This Holiday shopping season will be short and sweet. With only 23 shopping days between Black Friday and Hanukkah (with Christmas, and Kwaanza right behind) you’ll want to make the best of your time by shopping curated gift guides. Let us content creators do the legwork for you!
Last season I collaborated with VIDA on a curated collection; many pieces were featured in my 2018 Gift Guide. The guide was a big hit so I’m thrilled to feature more of their pieces in this 2019 Holiday Gifting with VIDA post.
Last year’s theme was “24 hours in Paris” and was shot on location at the San Francisco Legion of Honor. The Louvre inspired backdrop was perfect for featuring VIDA’s art themed clothing and accessories. After the shoot I had the opportunity to take in the exhibits without feeling rushed. And for that rare bit of time to myself, I was forever grateful.
In case you can’t escape for a day at the museum (or a day of shopping!) I’ve curated a selection of art inspired gifts for the home for every person on your list.
And if you or your loved ones rent or are restricted to what you can hang on the walls, I’ve selected gifts that don’t necessarily require poking (or patching) any holes!
VIDA offers a huge selection of coordinating home decor that doesn’t require mounting. If you find a particular artist whose work you love, you can select a pillow, glass dish, wall art, tote bag, top, and even a water bottle!
Wooden art panels from VIDA are perfect for displaying on a console table, propped up against a wall. I like to create a grouping with framed art of different sizes of black and white family photos.
My husband and I are obsessed with lighting. We’ve filled our home with chandeliers and pendant lights featuring retro style “Edison” bulbs. This silk scarf entitled “Silk Illumination” echoes the lighting scheme with its string of retro style bulbs.
And while VIDA silk scarves can be styled many ways, I chose to frame my scarf. I owe this idea to Filipina actress Heart Evangelista who framed her collection of rare Hermes scarfs.
Another favorite piece of mine is this wood wall art “Glass Dance” from Carnival Craft Company. I have yet to add this to our collection but someday aspire to. It will be the perfect compliment to the framed scarf!
