Everlane The Day Collection
There’s a saying, April flowers bring May showers. At Everlane The Day Market it was April showers bring pumps, ballet flats, mules and flowers! This weekend was a great opportunity to experience The Day Collection IRL at Everlane Lab San Francisco.
I’ve gone to a few of their try on and open studio events that you can read about (here). As always Everlane maintained a generous supply of artisan cocktails and friendly staff were on hand to provide suggestions for the Day Collection.
The Day Collection includes three different styles, The Day ballet, The Day mule, and The Day Heel in supple leathers and suedes. Keeping true to the neutral pallet of black, beige, navy with a surprise pop of bright red.
Prices range from $120 to $145
The collection didn’t disappoint. My favorite was The Day Heel in camel/nude. The block heel and buttery leather make this a shoe you can wear for hours. As typical with Everlane shoes, the sizing runs 1/2 to a full size small. I wear a 9 and chose the 9.5 pump. And, it’s a good idea to size up 1 full size in The Day mule.
Unlike the rigid Street Shoe, the Day Collection will not need breaking in. Who’s got time for that!
As for my recommendations: I highly recommend the day heel in nude as a key piece. A nude heel has the ability to lengthen the leg and thus considered a wardrobe essential. I was pleasantly surprised that the “nude” was a perfect color for my skin tone. Maybe it was the Wolffer No 139 cider Everlane was serving, but that nude color seemed to camouflage to match (or at least compliment) every skin tone of those who tried it on. We were all having a Cinderella moment.
As a wardrobe essentials blogger it’s my duty to identify the best key pieces for your closet. And, being a Bay Area resident I’m always on the lookout for the best local suppliers such as SF based Everlane. As you know many of my essential pieces (like the button down and the trench) can be found on the Everlane website.
I should also mention that there were a handful of Everlane essentials for try on such as the square silk shirt which I wrote about here. Additionally the Trench and the Go Weave Trouser were on display as well as a substantial men’s collection.
The garden show collection will be available online Monday April 10th – get on the waitlist here.
